Do you suffer from scaly or dry red patches on the face, ears or scalp (Actinic Keratosis)?

We are currently enrolling subjects 18 years or older, male or female in an 8 week research study of an investigational drug for Actinic Keratosis (sun damaged skin). Thick, Flaking, Itchy Rash on the Body?

Do you suffer from psoriasis (thick, flaking, itchy rash) on the body? Enrolling subjects 18 or older, male or female in a 4 week research study of a topical medication for psoriasis on the body. Contact clinical coordinator at 212.223.6599. Limited space available.

Do you have MELASMA??

Currently enrolling patients 18 or older with Melasma - dark marks usually left on both sides of the face caused by pregnancy; commonly known as "the mask of pregnancy." Can be brought on by the use of birth control pills or other hormone therapy. Can also be brought on or worsened by the sun. Please call 212.223.6599 immediately if interested. DARK MARKS, DARK SPOTS OR BLEMISHES on the skin?

Do you suffer from embarrassing dark marks, dark spots, blemishes on the skin? Enrolling subjects 18 years or older, male or female in a 12 week research study of topical medication for dark marks on the skin (hyperpigmentation). Compensation provided. ITCHY ECZEMA and BODY RASH?

Do you suffer from ECZEMA or ATOPIC DERMATITIS (a rash, severely dry and itchy skin)? Enrolling children and young adults, 3 months to 18 yr old in a 4 wk research study for an investigational medication for dry skin and eczema (atopic dermatitis). Compensation provided. Due to an overwhelming response, enrollment for this study has been further extended. However, spots are limited, so please call 212.223.6599 immediately, if you are interested.

The Ethnic Skin Specialty Group (a Division of the Skin Specialty Group)

The Ethnic Skin Specialty Group, under the direction of Dr. Cook-Bolden, is dedicated to addressing the concerns and unique problems affecting the skin, hair, and nails of persons with skin of color of the varied ethnicities.

Dr. Cook-Bolden and her Associates have worked extensively with skin of all types and from various ethnic backgrounds. She is considered among the leading dermatologists who specialize in skin of color. Dr. Cook-Bolden has participated and worked closely in many academic pursuits focused on ethnic skin, as a guest speaker at several medical schools and universities, and as faculty at national and international meetings. She has participated in research on disorders of ethnic skin, both as the principal investigator and as co-investigator.

Her work on ethnic skin has been published in both medical journals and in the lay press, as well as being featured on television broadcast. Dr. Cook-Bolden maintains her commitment to understanding ethnic skin, hair, and nails and addressing the specific concerns of individuals with skin of color and of all skin types. Dr. Cook-Bolden is the co-author of BEAUTIFUL SKIN OF COLOR - A Comprehensive guide to Asian, Olive and Dark Skin.
