Fran E. Cook-Bolden, M.D., is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, which means she is a board-certified dermatologist. Dr. Cook-Bolden specializes in the practice of dermatology and dermatologic surgery, cosmetic and laser surgery, and is the Director of the Skin Specialty Dermatology and the Ethnic Skin Specialty Group.
Dr. Cook-Bolden participates in cutting edge research. She lectures regularly at local, national, and international conferences. She maintains several professional affiliations, including an appointment to the board of The Dermatologic Society of Greater New York, and is currently an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Columbia University in New York.
She is the co-author of BEAUTIFUL SKIN OF COLOR: A Comprehensive guide to Asian, Olive and Dark Skin.
Shelley Fox, DNP, FNP-BC
Licensed Dermatology Nurse Practitioner
Shelley Fox is a board certified Nurse Practitioner and specializes in all areas of adult and pediatric medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery. She has dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Florida in nursing and in exercise and sport sciences, where she graduated Cum Laude. Shelley received both her Masters in Nursing and Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Columbia University in dermatology and emergency medicine. Along with many honors, Shelley has publications that range from the Treatment of Asthma in the Pediatric Population to highly specialized publications on the Treatment of Epidermaldysplasia Verruciformis. She acts as a clinical instructor to nurse practitioner students at Columbia University and provides Mentorship opportunities in dermatology to these students.
Shelley developed a passion for the practice of dermatology when she worked as a dermatology medical assistant. During her specialized nursing training in dermatology and years of practicing dermatology in New York City, she has developed expertise in treating patients of all skin types with a focus on acne, rosacea, warts, eczema, skin cancer, skin infections, psoriasis, keloids, hyperpigmentation, hair loss and skin of color. In addition to medical dermatology, Shelley has extensive training and experience in performing Botox, fillers, various lasers including laser hair removal, and chemical peels. In addition to providing the best and most current dermatologic care, her goal is to provide optimal results for patients who are looking for a youthful, healthier glow to their skin.
