At the Skin Specialty Group, Dr. Cook-Bolden and Dr. Kim Nichols specialize in the practice of dermatology and dermatologic surgery, cosmetic and laser surgery. Additionally, the Acne Treatment Center, the Pigmentation Treatment Center, the Skin Cancer Detection and Treatment Center and the Ethnic Skin Specialty Group offer specialized and immediate care focused in those areas. The Research Division of the Skin Specialty Group works closely with the health and beauty industry in the development of medications, devices and skin and hair care products which are focused on the current needs and concerns of the patient. We also work very closely with a large network of talented physicians, health care providers and resources in various fields and disciplines in the medical and beauty industry locally, throughout the US and internationally.

Our providers practice the team approach. Although you will have your primary doctor, you can rest assured and feel comfortable that in a follow-up or emergency situation if your primary doctor is not available, you will be in the hands of a provider who is equally as knowledgeable and will know who you are! We have thoroughly enjoyed being an integral part of your health care, with a focus on the skin, hair, and nails, and look forward to continuing this care.

In our continuing efforts to better accommodate our patients, we have again chosen a new, more spacious location! Our entire team expresses our sincerest appreciation for your patience during our office relocation. The new location is only a few blocks away on East 58th Street, between Lexington and Third Avenues and even more accessible by all forms of transportation. What Is A Dermatologist?

The American Board of Dermatology defines a dermatologist as a physician who is trained to evaluate and manage pediatric and adult patients with benign and malignant disorders of the skin, hair, nails, and adjacent mucous membranes.
